In you our fathers trusted; they trusted, and you delivered them. Psalm 22:4
As Christians, we are inundated with so many things we are told to do. As a parallel to that, I thought I would take some time and share with you things we should stop doing. The following two things are behaviors and actions that Christians should not do, in order to improve their walk with Christ.
- Stop trying to control your circumstances. There is a popular song by Casting Crowns which I have been playing daily. It is called “Just be Held”. The lyrics, speak of letting go of control and letting Christ hold you. So when you’re on your knees and answers seem so far away, You’re not alone, stop holding on and just be held. Your world’s not falling apart, it’s falling into place I’m on the throne, stop holding on and just be held Just be held, just be held*
2. Stop beating yourself up over past mistakes. “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18-19
