New Directions

BeholdI am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19

Do you ever have plans in life, and then God changes them? I always figure that it gives God a good laugh when we try to plan things our way and he has something much better in mind. On that note, I am very excited to announce that I have returned to full-time graduate school!.

As of June 13, I will be pursuing my Master of Arts Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy. I currently hold a Master of Science Degree in Family Studies, so this would be the next natural step for me. God has opened a tremendous door for me at a well-respected, well renown university.

I can’t say that this decision is without apprehension and nervousness, but I truly feel this is my PASSION. I have a PASSION for families and helping them thrive and grow in life and all circumstances. Dealing with my own trauma the past few months in a professional therapy setting has really helped shine some light on my purpose and calling! I covet your prayers as I journey through this new thing for me. I pray for God’s provision for successful classes, a successful practicum, and securing a great internship. Most of all, I pray that I can share Jesus and be his shining light for the many downtrodden, hurt and distressed people in the world.
